LUQEL is committed to a sustainable water supply.
From 2026 onwards our goal is to reduce the global
consumption of plastic bottles by 5 billion per year and
provide people with clean drinking water.
It takes 450 years for a plastic bottle to break
down into microplastic particles, and even those
biodegrade with difficulty. With a current recycling
rate of only about 14%, we need to act urgently.
